Safe Families is designed to provide support for parents and children in crisis.  It is intended as a preventative step to keep parents from losing their children to the Foster Care System.  When children end up in Foster Care, the biological parents lose their parental rights and only 15% are reunited with their biological parents.  Safe families is a program that partners with local churches to provide temporary help for parents in crisis so that they can maintain their parental rights and have the opportunity to get their lives in order before things escalate to the point that they lose their children. 

At Brookview Church, we are just beginning this adventure and we are excited for you to join us. The opportunities to be involved in this ministry are vast and we are excited to see what kinds of ideas for support our church community will generate!  Ways to be involved can range from being a safe family, providing support for a family, and helping to get the word out to our community letting them know that we are here.
